Instant V3 solution portfolio and a cleaner mobile menu

  • A new offline-generated Physics V3 portfolio covers all 25 library positions, both cue balls and both game modes. Exact and symmetric matches are revalidated with the current engine before they appear; nearby positions contribute warm-start hints only.
  • Solver cards now arrive progressively instead of making you wait for the entire search. Verified results are kept in a bounded on-device cache (40 entries / 2 MiB), and compatible follow-up-position seeds shorten the next solve without presenting stale routes.
  • The separate Physics and model information action has been removed from the mobile More menu. Model limits remain visible where they matter: the current guide, solver evidence cards and the Research methodology.
  • Research now separates the frozen V2 publication dataset from the V3 candidate portfolio, including independent checksums, generation commands and an explicit measurement-pending status.
  • Shared watch links now leave a clear Replay shared shot action after playback. Replays use the same versioned shot and starting position without adding practice statistics or history.

  • Every new and manually executed shot now runs with Physics V3 Beta. The old model is retained only for faithful legacy-link and history replay or an optional read-only comparison; the former public engine selector has been replaced by clear Physics and model information.
  • The solution cache, generator and runtime now share the same version contract. Compatible library solutions load immediately, while incompatible data is rejected without being presented as a current result; three-cushion and free-carom recommendations remain in one practical list.
  • Undo and redo preserve the shot physics, solver, table and cue profiles plus a deterministic trajectory signature. Replaying a restored shot follows the same event order without counting the same manual attempt twice.
  • Theme changes update the interface and 3D materials in the same stable frame sequence. The simulator also starts from the modern module build and loads heavier rendering, feedback and analysis capabilities only when needed.

  • One Find solutions action now covers both 3-cushion and free carom. It searches practical flat strokes and available advanced massé/piqué candidates without asking players to choose a physics engine.
  • Free-carom search starts with direct no-cushion routes, then explores distinct bank routes and both object-ball orders. Every library position, game mode and cue-ball combination now has at least one replay-verified recommendation.
  • Up to eight genuinely different routes are ranked from the widest, most comfortable execution window to demanding or risky mechanics. The card leads with the stroke and route; model and measurement details remain available in a disclosure.
  • On narrow mobile screens the first three recommendations stay immediately readable and the rest open with Show all. A route must pass the calibrated authoritative replay before it can enter the cache or interface, so Apply and playback use the same trajectory.

  • A new Physics laboratory lets you switch new manual shots between the frozen V2 baseline and V3 Beta, keeps the choice on this device and can be reversed centrally if a safety issue appears.
  • The same current shot can be calculated in V2 and V3 without moving the live balls. Both routes are overlaid on one table with numbered contact markers and a readable event flow; detailed metrics remain available on demand.
  • One Find solutions action now searches stable V2 standard routes and V3 Beta massé/piqué candidates together. Distinct stroke mechanics are ranked from practical to demanding while preserving aim tolerance, power/spin demand, cue elevation and measurement status.
  • V2 remains the default and legacy reference. V3 cards are explicitly labelled Measurement pending until independent real-table calibration and blind holdout data pass the published validation gate.
  • Mobile shot controls now keep 48–64 px visual dials, 44 px precision targets and first-touch pointer capture across portrait and compact landscape layouts, making angle, contact and power adjustments easier to read and drag.
  • Solver cards now restore their original table and transfer angle, power, spin, elevation and physics version through a primary Apply & try action. Demo playback also returns to that anchor, so the same visible settings reproduce the listed solution.
  • The cue-elevation diagram now shows the complete tapered cue—tip, ferrule, highlighted shaft and butt—with equal clarity on desktop and mobile instead of letting the dark shaft appear cropped.

  • Cue-contact controls now use the canonical 61.4 mm carom ball and show the selected offset in millimetres and %R with a visible miscue envelope, consistently on desktop and mobile.
  • The shared desktop and mobile contact editor now keeps the 6°–60° cue elevation visible, opens from the full contact caption and explains flat, raised, massé and steep/piqué angles with a live side-view diagram.
  • Marked ball designs now rotate from the simulated angular velocity and preserve their physical orientation after playback and state updates, so draw, follow, sliding and side spin remain visually truthful.
  • Solver 4.1 independently explores centre-spin and vertical-spin route islands, measures 40 finalists by two-sided tolerance and ships 100 preset states with 173 replay-verified cards. Standard results still use the frozen validated V2 model at 6°; massé/piqué search remains behind the real-table measurement gate.
  • Mobile rendering returns to device-appropriate sharpness after motion, while a 1% precision power editor and enlarged touch targets make portrait and landscape stroke setup more exact.

  • On landscape phones, one compact workspace keeps the table visible while Position, Shot, Solver and Result remain in the same side rail; every tab restores its complete controls.
  • Landscape phones now keep a same-size Camera action in the top bar on every tab; it opens Top, Side and Perspective before playback, while Shot uses a horizontal translucent zoom dock instead of a second vertical rail.
  • Four clearly differentiated table finishes, four independently selectable cloth colors and four ball designs can be previewed instantly and stored on this device. They change appearance only; geometry and physics remain identical.
  • Choose 2.84 × 1.42, 2.52 × 1.26, 2.30 × 1.15 or 2.10 × 1.05 m playing surfaces, or enter a custom carom-table size. Positions adapt proportionally and the selected size follows physics, solver results, saved positions and shared links. On the untouched tournament opening, every size keeps the mandatory red ball as the first object-ball contact.

  • The optional, account-free Training Beta adds 12 deterministic First contact and first cushion variations. Predictions, progressive H0-H4 hints, the first meaningful simulated deviation and local 24-hour/7-day review progress stay on this device.
  • Only a shot started with Shoot now counts as practice. Solver, shared-link, history and onboarding demonstrations no longer change streaks, drills or progress; older totals whose origin cannot be verified remain visible as a separate legacy summary.
  • Ball placement is transactional: Escape, cancellation, lost pointer capture, app interruption or orientation change restores the exact starting position. Saved data also falls back safely to memory when browser storage is unavailable.
  • Modal focus, keyboard commands, return from camera/photo/external pages and the first stable top-bar layout are now synchronized and accessible.
  • Photo dimensions are checked before decode, large images are bounded locally and supported browsers run classical vision in a cancellable worker. Idle 3D rendering is event-driven, while legacy share links remain compatible and malformed position codes are rejected.
  • Camera controls now repaint immediately in the event-driven renderer: mouse/touch orbit, pinch or wheel zoom, the on-screen zoom rail, and Top, Side and Perspective presets all respond without waiting for another scene event.
  • Aiming guides now follow mouse and touch input frame by frame instead of waiting for movement to stop. Angle, spin and power drags are coalesced to the display refresh, while idle redraws no longer trigger false low-FPS table resizing.
  • Returning from Position to Shot now always restores the complete shot-control dock. Mobile sheet state is isolated from desktop layout, including after a phone-to-desktop breakpoint change.
  • Light and dark theme changes repaint the WebGL room in the same frame; no camera movement or zoom nudge is needed to update the table and room palette.
  • Position and Shot switches stay in the same document without a refresh loop, preserving the table, camera and current shot settings.
  • Desktop shot controls now fit their content more closely, removing unused horizontal space without shrinking the important angle, English, power and Shoot actions.

  • Top view now centres on the table rather than the cue ball. On portrait phones the long edge runs vertically and both table axes are fitted to the available screen, producing a larger, steadier overhead view.
  • The Position shortcuts now follow panel scrolling: Balls, Photo, Library and Drill highlight automatically when their section reaches the sticky navigation boundary.
  • Shot controls use space more deliberately on phones and desktop. The power cell is narrower, the zoom rail remains translucent, and secondary actions, audio focus and touch targets stay clear without covering the table.
  • A physics-derived contact reticle shows the exact side of the first object ball for direct ball-first shots, while cushion-first routes stay uncluttered. Shared-position onboarding and angled-photo review also keep their guarded flow.
  • When motion stops, the resting balls immediately become the next shot. Undo and shot history preserve the previous attempt, while the redundant overlapping Shot complete and Next shot bar has been removed.
Session summary, drill history and a mobile stats tab5 changes · 1 min read
  • A fourth mobile tab opens the stats panel — the scoreboard, the shot history with trend and coach hint, and the JSON export were previously unreachable on phones.
  • Finish a practice block with the new session summary: shots, scored, best run, duration and average path for the current session, plus a one-tap new session.
  • Completed drills now end with a result card showing the hit rate and a repeat button, and your recent drill sessions are listed under Position → Drill.
  • Any recent shot can reload its exact pre-shot position from the history list, and every solver card now has a share link so a friend can watch that solution play automatically.
  • Polish: your mute preference survives reloads, Space can no longer fire during a running shot, solver progress no longer sits at 92%, and the measured two-sided tolerance badge is capped at ±1.05°. Shot analysis now also numbers each cushion on the table.
More faithful motion and more practical solver suggestions5 changes · 1 min read
  • Sliding-to-rolling motion is solved at its analytic transition, so a ball no longer changes phase according to where a fixed simulation step happens to end. On a flat table, sidespin alone no longer bends straight centre-of-mass motion.
  • Ball and cushion contacts are located inside each simulation step before the collision response. Follow, draw and sidespin exchange through frictional contact, while total kinetic-energy guards prevent a numerical collision from adding motion.
  • The solver now tests aim, power, sidespin and follow/draw error together with 24 deterministic variations, measures a continuous two-sided aiming corridor and scores the weaker part of those tests instead of letting one good metric hide a brittle shot.
  • Free carom has a dedicated geometric direct-shot search. In both modes, soft near-centre shots and simpler routes are favoured when they are genuinely as robust; exact three-cushion routes are preferred over unnecessary extra cushions.
  • This remains a deterministic 2D training model, not a measured twin of your table. Hop and airborne contacts, cue squirt and full swerve or miscue behaviour are outside the simulation; verify important lines on a real table.
More reliable photos and shots, complete mobile table controls9 changes · 2 min read
  • Photo Assistant was calibrated against five real table photos: all 5 tables and all 15 balls are detected in the local benchmark, while white, yellow and red candidates are assigned only once instead of overlapping or swapping.
  • Photo-to-table transfer now understands which photographed edge is the physical long side. You can explicitly choose horizontal or vertical, so a corrected manual frame maps to the same 2:1 table orientation instead of rotating or stretching the position.
  • Solver suggestions are centred inside the widest valid aiming window found nearby. Cards show the measured two-sided angle tolerance, and a narrow shot can no longer receive an easy label merely because other small perturbations happened to succeed.
  • Mobile rendering now uses an adaptive resolution profile, a lighter soft-shadow atlas and stable mipmapped cloth and rug textures. It protects smooth, 60-class motion without the former sparkling grain while retaining the warm VIP-room materials.
  • The feedback window now opens in a page-level layer on phones, instead of being clipped inside the blurred top bar and leaving only a stray close mark in the corner.
  • The small top view is now a button on desktop and mobile: tap it for a large, live table view with Top, Side and Perspective camera controls.
  • The solver now measures a broader, balanced set of shot families. In free carom it searches both first-ball choices from centre aim outward, prioritises soft centre-ball and fewer-cushion routes, and no longer fills reserved slots with brittle show shots. The ROB percentage is explicitly a simulated tolerance score, not a real-world scoring probability.
  • Angle minus/plus, mouse-wheel and keyboard fine tuning now move in 0.1° steps. On desktop, clicking the current English label opens the same enlarged cue-contact control available on mobile.
  • Background music starts at a quiet 10% for new users. An existing saved volume choice is left unchanged.
Complete training workflow and faster simulator startup8 changes · 2 min read
  • Saved Positions now keeps up to 100 setups on this device — ball coordinates, cue ball, shot settings, game mode and table speed together — and lets you reopen, rename or delete each one.
  • A persistent Drill mode turns any of the 25 classic positions into a 10, 20, 30 or 50-shot session, tracking attempts, made points and hit rate with repeat, stop and resume-friendly on-device history.
  • The computational solver now shows live phase, percentage, valid-result count and elapsed time, can be cancelled immediately, and safely reuses precomputed, memory and engine-versioned on-device results without mixing stale physics.
  • The installable app has 5 direct shortcuts: Drill, Solver, Free Play, Position Library and Photo Assistant. The same URL modes open the requested workspace directly from links; install names, descriptions and preview images follow all 10 supported languages.
  • Mobile and accessibility work is broader than layout: dedicated table tabs and aim controls, screen-reader states for tabs and solver progress, keyboard-friendly search, labelled saved-position actions, and keyboard-adjustable photo review points.
  • Photo positioning now states exactly what it does: local classical computer vision suggests table corners and balls, every result requires your review, every point stays editable, and manual placement is always available. Images are not uploaded; no machine-learning or accuracy claim is made.
  • Physics parameters now live in a versioned 65-parameter calibration profile with slow, normal and fast table presets plus an in-app model disclosure. Deterministic acceptance checks protect the training behavior; this is not a promise of exact real-table reproduction.
  • The simulator now boots as native ES modules and fetches only the active language; Photo Assistant and Feedback load on demand. The measured app startup graph is about 55% smaller in raw and gzip size than the former eager chain, and old open tabs recover once from replaced release chunks.
Smarter solver, clearer ball placement, cleaner rules11 changes · 2 min read
  • Returning-visitor fix: a stale browser or service-worker copy of the solution cache could make even classic positions take 5-8 seconds — the cache file is now version-stamped, so every visitor always gets the current one instantly.
  • A short 5-step guided tour now greets first-time visitors (table → shot → position → solver → assist); the solution cache covers the yellow cue ball too — classic positions solve instantly with either cue; on small screens (iPhone SE) the top info chips now wrap instead of clipping.
  • NEW — the 5.5 system on the table itself: the "5.5" HUD button draws diamond numbers on the cloth; tap a first-cushion diamond and the calculated system line, arrival badge and the arithmetic (departure − aim = arrival) appear instantly, side by side with the physics preview.
  • Break rule: on the untouched tournament opening layout, first contact must now be the RED ball — the solver suggests only legal break shots; the rule lifts automatically once the balls move.
  • The placement chip is a compact two-row card on phones; finishing a placement switches to the Shot tab, and the Position tab stays highlighted while you move a ball.
  • Difficulty now accounts for stroke harshness: shots that need very high power or heavy spin are no longer sold as "easy" — soft, near-centre strokes win the easy slots.
  • In free carom, suggestions whose point depends on the two object balls colliding first (fragile kiss chains) are kept out of the easy tiers.
  • Rules fix: the red ball can no longer be selected as the cue ball — in real carom the cue ball is always white or yellow.
  • Ball-placement mode is now unmistakable: a gold frame around the table, live trajectory lines that follow the ball while you drag, and a one-tap shortcut from the placement chip straight to the Shot view.
  • New graded Assist dial on the table: full trajectory → up to first contact → line-free exam mode. Tap any empty spot or diamond to aim through it, and feel a subtle vibration on ball contact (Android).
  • On phones the table now centres in the visible area above the control bar — the dead black band at the bottom is gone.

  • The Move flow was rebuilt for phones: the panel gets out of the way, you tap or drag directly on the table, overlaps resolve visibly, and live cm coordinates show while you place.
  • Every solver suggestion is now re-simulated 14 times with small human errors; cards carry a 🎯 tolerance badge, sort easiest-first, and unrepeatable fluke shots are filtered out.
  • Difficulty labels derive from that measurement — calibrated separately for three-cushion and free carom.
Mobile loading speed 47 → 992 changes · 1 min read
  • The simulator now becomes usable much sooner on phones: the measured mobile performance score rose from 47 to 99 and the largest visible paint fell from about 10 seconds to 1.7 seconds.
  • On low-power devices the 3D table now starts on demand instead of freezing the page.

Earlier milestones

Early July 2026 brought physics v2 — a real cushion-contact model, massé shots with cue elevation and slow/normal/fast cloth presets — plus a rebuilt solver search.
