Position Library — 10 Setups to Compare in 3ball

Explore ten layouts from the app’s 25-position library. Each guide shows the actual ball centres and a focused comparison to try. Choose a geometry below; you decide the shot rather than loading a promised scoring solution.

Positions

• Ticky Position — This is the app’s “Ticky” starting layout. White and yellow are on the right, while red is farther left. None is frozen to a cushion; do not treat this example as a touching-ball escape.
• Umbrella Position — The app’s umbrella layout has white below two nearby object balls. Yellow and red form a close pair, making the order and timing of their contacts a useful study question. They are not placed at two fixed long-rail diamond numbers.
• Around-the-Table — White and red begin on opposite sides of the lower half; yellow is near the centre. This spread lets you compare a route around the table with a shorter candidate, without assuming either is automatically safer.
• Long-Rail Bricole — White and red share a high horizontal line, with yellow lower and near the middle. Use this spread to compare a long-cushion-first approach to an object ball; the diagram does not assert that a direct line is blocked.
• Short-Rail Bricole — White begins high and central; yellow and red are lower on opposite sides. This is an open study layout for a short-cushion-first choice, not a demonstration that an object ball is trapped in a corner.
• Reverse Bricole — White is on the right; yellow and red form a vertical pair on the left. The layout supports a comparison of side-spin directions after a cushion, without prescribing a universally “correct” amount of reverse spin.
• Diagonal Position — White and red are low on opposite sides, while yellow is higher and left of centre. “Diagonal” names the spread; it is not an instruction to hit a cushion intersection at exactly 45 degrees.
• Double-Rail Position — White and yellow start close together on the left, while red is far to the right. The nearby first contact makes this a useful layout for studying how thickness changes the departure before a longer route.
• Edge Shot — Yellow and red share a line 20 cm from the lower cushion; white is higher. The object balls are near that side of the table, but they are not frozen to the cushion and not within a 1 cm gap.
• System practice: Plus reference — This page now opens the app’s Plus reference layout: white left, red right and yellow high between them. The historical URL contains “50”, but this layout does not establish a Korean 5-and-half calibration at diamond 50.
