How to study a recorded match

Use a complete recording when available. This is a 3ball observation method, not a professional’s private training plan. Camera images cannot recover hidden cue contact or exact physical conditions.

  1. Write down the event and video timestamp. Sketch the three starting ball positions and identify the first object ball.
  2. Record the visible cushion order and the second ball’s exit. If tip contact, speed or a collision is hidden, mark it unknown instead of guessing.
  3. Build a comparable layout in the simulator. Change one setting at a time, keeping the initial ball positions fixed; compare the route and possible kiss.
  4. Keep three separate notes: what the recording shows, what your model does, and what remains untested on a physical table.
