Professional three-cushion carom billiards is governed worldwide by the UMB (Union Mondiale de Billard) and locally by national federations. Below is a complete reference of major tournaments and circuits.
Major tournaments
- UMB World Cup — Annual circuit of 6–8 events worldwide. Highest world-ranking points; main pro tour for Europe, Americas, MENA. Ag-Banka, Veghel, Sluiskil, Bogotá, Egypt, Türkiye legs.
- UMB World Three-Cushion Championship — Once per year. National federation qualifiers feed a 32-player main draw. Dani Sánchez, Caudron, Coklu, Cho Jae-Ho recent champions.
- Korean PBA Pro Tour — Founded 2019, Seoul-based. Highest prize pool in carom history. League + tour format; Cho Jae-Ho, David Martinez, Frédéric Caudron compete.
- Saygıner Cup — TBBF tribute event honoring Semih Saygıner. Annually in Istanbul; invites top 16 ranked players.
- National Championships — Belgium, Türkiye, Korea, Netherlands, Egypt, Vietnam, Spain — each with own annual title and qualifying ladder.
Ranking system
UMB world ranking sums a player's top 6 events in the past 12 months. World Cup ranks 1–32 score points; World Championship applies an extra multiplier. Korean PBA maintains an independent ranking — does not interact with UMB.
Match format
UMB match format: 40 points, quarter-final onwards 50 points, final 50 points. Tied scores resolved by least-attempts equaling. PBA Tour: set system, best of 3 / best of 5, each set 15 points.
