National championships are a category of competitions, not one global tournament. A national title, a category-stage victory and a place in a selection ranking are not necessarily the same result.
Format and scope
Each federation sets its eligibility, categories, table sizes, point or inning limits and qualification path. An average from another country or table size does not automatically establish eligibility. Start with the season’s regulations and the specific event notice, then check whether the notice has been amended.
Before entering
Before entering, verify licence and affiliation requirements, age/category eligibility, which results count for seeding, entry deadline, venue, race distance, equalising inning and clothing rules. Save the notice’s date or version. A calendar listing confirms a planned event; it does not prove that entry was accepted, that play occurred as scheduled or that a named player won.

For example, the TBF calendar checked on 16 October lists the Turkish A-category second stage in Ankara on 2–8 October 2026. It also separates women’s and age-group stages, including 21–27 October entries in Ankara. This demonstrates why “the Turkish championship” alone is an incomplete event identifier.
